Our people

Tracey Resource Consultant

I deal with a wide variety and level of roles for the Zurich recruitment centre in Newcastle. I have involvement across the full process from initial liaison with line managers through to arranging interviews and developing targeted and innovative strategies for the hard to fill areas.

I really enjoy interacting with all of the different line managers and seeing the tangible results of a person in a new role that I have organised. I particularly enjoy the steep learning curve that comes from developing different ways of dealing with new roles in new areas. The approaches we take are more considered, more creative and altogether more sophisticated.

After "falling" into recruitment at Accenture HR Services at the end of 2002, my career has seen a mix of roles and challenges with a real range of organisations. I am very pleased to have now found Alexander Mann Solutions and indeed Zurich as my first client project. I expect to be chasing a Principal Recruitment Specialist role in about a year's time.

Jon - Service Delivery Manager

I work in Central London, on-site within Deloitte, which is one of our newer accounts. We have a national remit, covering 15 Deloitte offices. I run a team of five and I am personally accountable for the recruitment of around 450 people this year in two of Deloitte's key business streams. I have regular contact with the client, ensuring service levels are met, exploring ideas and explaining the AMS relationship.

I love the interaction with really bright people, and enjoy the challenge of winning over hearts and minds. It's good to work with such a prestigious client.

After 10 years with recruitment consultancies, I started to come across RPO and really wanted to try it and AMS was the only place to be! The balance between working for an entrepreneurial, target-driven organisation, whilst being on-site in a really influential role, is just what I had hoped it would be. And it's not just the way we interact with our clients. The way we deal with suppliers adds a new dimension to the role as well. I've only been here for 10 months, but I've been stretched enormously and it's clear that there is huge scope and potential within AMS for ambitious people.

Nicola Principal Account Manager

I'm based onsite at Cable & Wireless. I help manage the relationship at an operational level and ensure we are delivering a robust recruitment service, streamlining processes wherever possible and adding value. On a day-to-day basis, I'm required to liaise with all levels up to and including the UK Executive Board. I suppose you could say that I'm the oil that makes the engine run more smoothly.

I really enjoy transformation projects and here I'm empowered to change things and be innovative. Whilst other people sell what they've got, we come up with solutions that'll keep our clients three steps ahead.

I joined in 2000 in Dublin and came to London after nine months. Since then I've touched almost every role in AMS from Recruitment Consultant to Principal Account Manager and I've worked with companies like Vodafone and Energis. Where next? I'm aiming to be a Project Manager by October. That'll give me total accountability for the solution I am delivering. This is a great company if you're interested in developing a recruitment career that's as broad as it can be.

Jeea, Resource Specialist

I'm part of the Deloitte onsite delivery team focusing on one of their key business units. I'm working on a regional basis so I've got more clients and I travel a fair bit. I really enjoy the interface and relationship building. The people here are entrepreneurial and very, very bright.

I'm the first line of contact for hiring managers. I'll help with the job description, come up with the sourcing strategy, run the attraction campaign and then manage the candidate experience. It's a really competitive market so I'm constantly trying new channels and creative strategies. We've set a really high standard which is the best part.

I'd worked in recruitment for just under a year before I joined AMS. I liked working under pressure, the teamwork and I've always enjoyed dealing with people but I didn't really like the cold calling. Here, it's a much more of a consultancy-style approach. You get lots of support from colleagues. There are so many experienced people here and they never hesitate to offer help.

Madeleine, Principal Service Delivery Manager

I like to see outputs. I love to see the difference we can make to a firm's recruitment. I manage a delivery team of recruiters onsite at Deloitte. We're responsible for all experienced hires in the UK. We started working with them last April and when you look at how far we've come, it's incredible.

It's great being onsite, there's so much client exposure. We get instant feedback and immediate access when we want to push changes. And it's all about transformation and innovation. Before I joined AMS I was Head of Recruitment at one of the top legal firms. RPO gives you so many more opportunities to be creative.

The quality of the people here is outstanding and it's great working with people who are driven and at the top of their game. And there's so much experience across the organisation. If you want to try something new, you'll almost certainly find someone who can help. It's good being part of a peer group where resourcing is our core business.

There are so many development opportunities at AMS as the business grows. I've got a clear idea of my options.
