Accreditations

We work hard to ensure that not only do we provide the very best services and support to our customers and employees, but that we achieve independent accreditation and recognition for doing so.

HRO Baker’s Dozen

In August 2011, Alexander Mann Solutions was named as Global Market Leader – Multi-Country Programmes and Quality of Services Leader as well as being ranked number one as the Overall RPO Provider. This is the fourth year running that AMS has led the Global Market Leader category. This annual listing of the top RPO providers is based on a survey completed by current buyers of RPO services and is recognised as the largest buyers’ survey covering the RPO Industry.

The RPO Baker’s Dozen awards formally recognise AMS’s position as the world’s most geographically diverse provider of outsourced recruitment and resourcing services and demonstrates the consistently high standards that AMS offers our clients – as their trusted advisor.

Investors in People (IiP) Bronze

IiP is a globally recognised framework which advises how good people management practices can help achieve business goals. AMS has participated in the IiP programme since 2004, and in 2010 we were accredited IiP Bronze status. The Bronze accreditation places AMS in the top 3% of all participating companies. To attain the Bronze award, AMS had to fulfil 35 extra evidence requirements, in addition to the 37 core indicators required to achieve the IiP Standard. The accreditation follows a rigorous, independent assessment, including meetings with a cross-section of 70 employees globally to review AMS’s people management practices.

International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)

Recognised globally, ISO is the world’s largest standards developing organisation. By adopting its quality standards methodology, AMS has pioneered high standards within our industry. We were the first RPO provider to secure the ISO 9001 accreditation for quality management and we were the first company in our market to secure the ISO 14001 standard for our environmental management system in support of our Global Citizenship programme. In 2010, our practices in managing our information security were audited and we were subsequently successfully accredited with ISO 27001. This accreditation offers our clients and suppliers the confidence to trust AMS with the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

Together, our ISO accreditations ensure a consistent, high quality service is delivered to our stakeholders and that we implement and maintain proven management systems.

Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki

Our Investors in Human Capital (‘Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki’) accreditation places AMS in the top companies in Poland for people management practices, employee engagement and HR infrastructure. This sought-after accreditation is recognised locally as establishing companies as ‘employers of choice’.

AMS received our Investors in Human Capital accreditation in both November 2010 and November 2011 following rigorous and independent assessments – giving us the unique opportunity to compare ourselves to the best companies in Poland in terms of developing human capital, people management practices and employee engagement. Our final appraisal reports paid special tribute to our efforts in developing and empowering our people in AMS Poland.

United Nations Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

AMS has participated in the UN Global Compact since 2007 as we believe it provides the best framework by which we can define and measure our Global Citizenship programme. Each year we commit to specific targets, outline progress towards these and identify areas for improvement. Our progress against each commitment is reported on the UN Global Compact website. You can also download a copy of the UN Global Compact reports of 2008, 2009 and 2010 from the Global Citizenship page.

Charities of Choice

In our key operating regions throughout the world, we’ve made a commitment to provide long-term support to specific charities, known as our Charities of Choice. Each charity is selected by staff members and provides employees the opportunity to give back to our communities in numerous ways.

Tomorrow’s People

Tomorrow’s People is a national charity that has helped the long-term unemployed over the past 25 years across the UK get back to work. They engage with people who are the hardest to reach in the community, helping them with the skills and qualifications that local employers need, to find the right job and to keep it long term.

AMS has been working with Tomorrow’s People since 2005. We understand the importance of the work they do and we share their vision of what the world of work can offer to the long-term unemployed. We are involved in a wide range of activities that has helped the charity’s clients including yearly fundraising campaigns and free office space in Central London for Tomorrow’s People staff.

Beyond these initiatives, AMS employees run CV preparation and interview skill workshops for unemployed people in locations around the UK. Read here a NY Times article from 2012 about the impact of these workshops on London’s unemployed youth. AMS also provides Tomorrow’s People clients work experience placements across our business and with AMS clients, giving the charity’s clients the opportunity to develop the confidence and practice the skills needed for paid employment.

Leonardo

The Foundation for Social Development Support “Leonardo” was established in October 2002 in Krakow, Poland. A charitable organisation, Leonardo works with individuals and families from difficult social backgrounds or those disconnected from the community and job market with the aim of increasing their chances of gaining employment in Poland.

As AMS’s Charity of Choice in Continental Europe since 2008, we focus our cooperation with Leonardo on one of their centres for support, Klub Integracji Społecznej (The Centre for Social Integration), located near our office in Krakow. AMS employees help in daily centre activities such as English conversation and IT courses and labour market training, support business-related issues like mentoring for the organisation and conduct annual fundraising through major events such as the Three Peaks Challenge.

Career Collaborative

As part of our commitment to global citizenship in every market in which we operate, AMS in the United States recently began contributing to the Career Collaborative , a US-based charity focusing on helping people back into the workforce. While the relationship is in its early stages, AMS is working to formalise the relation with Career Collaborative as Charity of Choice, and to find ways in which employees can help this charity achieve its goals.
