SourceCon
“I feel I’m falling behind, faster!”…is this what you and/or your client is saying?
Twitter, Four Square, find.ly and apps… with so many new tools, databases and technologies (improving access to both active and passive candidates) the function of sourcing has really evolved over the last 10 years …and it shows no signs of losing momentum!
One of the signposts for Sourcing as a function and as a long-term career choice has been the growth of the global sourcing event, SourceCon. Now in its seventh year, the conference has grown from a small group of people meeting around a table discussing their passion for sourcing into a major international event. Hosted in Atlanta this year, from 8-10 Feb, this is confirmed to be by far the largest SourceCon to date.
With an impressive line-up of speakers, including our own Adam Lawrence, the conference will tackle a variety of subjects from core internet search techniques to some of the more complex issues facing Sourcers today. Discussion at SourceCon is moving quickly on from the tactical – ‘how to flip a web site to see the employee list’ – to more strategic questions around optimal infrastructure and brand.
Later in February we’ll be running a three-day programme of development for our own sourcing community in Europe (with online expert access post training). We’ll be publishing more detail soon. Some of the experts from SourceCon are putting this programme together, and we’ll be looking to roll-out to Asia and the US soon after Europe.
Are there Sourcing challenges you want Adam to research and/or raise with his peers whilst at SourceCon? Let us know through the form below.
My question Adam …”is mobile recruiting a 2013 thing, or is it really today, 2012?”
