Tomorrow’s People shortlist AMS for award

Tomorrow’s People nominates AMS as Corporate Partner of the Year

2 November 2010 – Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS), which builds world-class resourcing capability for clients through outsourcing and consulting services, has been shortlisted for an award by national employment charity Tomorrow’s People for helping the long-term unemployed across the UK get back to work.

The charity’s annual ‘Awards for Achievement’ pay tribute to long-term unemployed people who have overcome significant barriers to get into work. The Awards also recognise partner organisations like AMS for their support. This year’s ceremony will be held at Clifford Chance in Central London on Thursday 11th November.

Over the last five years, AMS and Tomorrow’s People have developed a strong strategic partnership. Together, they are involved in a wide range of activities that have helped the charity’s clients including yearly fundraising campaigns and free office space in Central London for Tomorrow’s People staff. Beyond these initiatives, AMS employees run CV preparation and interview skill workshops for unemployed people in locations around the UK. So far, training has been provided to over 100 people. AMS also provides Tomorrow’s People clients work experience placements across the AMS business and with AMS clients, giving the charity’s clients the opportunity to develop the confidence and practice the skills needed for paid employment.

This highly valued partnership between AMS and Tomorrow’s People continues to create bright ideas and new solutions. As Ruth Smyth, Global Head of HR notes, “We understand the importance of the work Tomorrow’s People do and we share their vision of what the world of work can offer to the long-term unemployed. It’s an honour to be acknowledged by Tomorrow’s People as their trusted partner with this Award nomination”.
